Fiesta Folklórica Puertorriqueña, Inc, is a 43 year-old institution dedicated to preserving the musical and cultural traditions of a community that has been a part of the colorful New York fabric for many decades.

Every year, "Fiesta" hosts outdoor concerts as the centerpiece of a day-long festival dedicated to Hispanic traditions and folklore. The energetic program promotes and exemplifies the musical traditions of the culture, while showcasing several contemporary Spanish-language local talent. This formula has succeeded in attracting a wide variety of age groups and musical tastes within the Latin music genre, in a still growing Hispanic audience.

The event, held at the famous Rumsey Field in Central Park, is FREE to the public so funding for this annual event depends largely on corporate sponsors, contributions from organizations, and donations from small groups and individuals.  

The unique Central Park venue allows for a free flow of people, and accessibility from every NYC borough, New Jersey and Connecticut.  "Fiesta" attracts over 12,000 revolving event-goers, some yearning for the nostalgic, and others who bring their family and want to connect with their culture, on a warm summer day surrounded by familiar sounds, sights and smells.
